Kindergarten
Confident
The 60-minute roadmap to your child's reading readiness.
Can't make it live? A recording will be waiting for you.

A live 60-minute masterclass that walks you through the three pillars of early reading — and a clear trail guide to nurture your child's confidence before kindergarten. Bring your Literacy Snapshot if you have it — and we'll build on it together, beginning your child's Literacy Portrait. Leave with a plan, a perspective shift, and the kind of clarity that makes the season ahead feel delightful instead of daunting.
- The Three Pillars— hearing sounds, seeing letter patterns, using words in language
- A Trail Guide— built around your child's phase
- Live Q&A— submit your question for a chance to be featured
- A Recording— to revisit anytime — for the parents catching the replay
Bring Your Literacy Portrait.
Free. Yours to keep. The snapshot we'll build on together inside the masterclass.
Your Literacy Portrait begins with the Early Literacy Milestone Map — a free snapshot that pinpoints exactly where your child is on the learning-to-read continuum. It's the first piece of the portrait we'll continue building together during the masterclass.
If you haven't taken yours yet, take ten gentle minutes with your child before June 25 so you're ready to walk in with clarity already in hand.
practiced in your kitchen, your living room, the moments that already exist
works in the car, the grocery line, the walk to the park
no apps, no devices, no homework — just gentle noticing
You're at the kindergarten prep stage.
You're starting to look at lunch boxes and backpacks. There's a swim lesson bag by the door, a library tote in the car, three crayons under the dining table from Sunday's drawing time. You are already noticing more than you give yourself credit for.
But there's still that quiet question.
Are they ready?
You don't want to push your child. You also don't want to miss the small windows that matter. You've tried the apps that turned into screen battles. The workbooks that felt like homework before kindergarten even began. The well-meaning advice that ended at "just keep reading to your child."
The research is clear, and softer than you'd expect. When parents learn to notice and nurture a few small reading skills — not just read aloud — they become up to six times more effective in developing their child's reading.
The Kindergarten Confident Masterclass is the rest of the picture. One hour with Goldie. Your child's Literacy Portrait in hand. And a clear, beautiful roadmap of the small, gentle moves that come next.

What is the Kindergarten Confident Masterclass?
A live 60-minute masterclass for parents of four- to six-year-olds. You'll walk through the three pillars of early reading, learn to read your child's Literacy Portrait, and leave with a clear readiness roadmap.
Thursday, June 25 · 10:00 AM Pacific · 60 minutes.
What is the Literacy Portrait, and do I need it before class?
No — you don't need it finished to join. The Literacy Portrait begins with the Early Literacy Milestone Map, a free snapshot that pinpoints where your child is on the learning-to-read continuum. If you have your snapshot, bring it and we'll build on it together inside the masterclass. If you don't, that's perfectly okay — you can take it afterward at literacyportrait.com. Either way, we'll begin developing your child's Literacy Portrait together.
Does this follow the science of reading?
Yes. Every part of the methodology is heavily research-based — built on forty years of literacy research from Ehri, Piasta & Wagner, Blevins, and Gaab. But this is the home version: no flashcards, no drilling, no homework feel. Joyful, playful, and built to go with you into the life you're already living.
My child is four (or six). Is the masterclass still for us?
Yes. The Literacy Portrait adapts to your child's age — four through six. The masterclass teaching is built around the entire reading-development arc, so wherever your child is, you'll see them clearly and know the next small moves.
What if I can't make it live?
A recording will be waiting for you to revisit anytime. Submit your question ahead of time and you can still be featured in the live Q&A.
How is this different from a tutoring program or a workbook?
It is not a tutoring program, a workbook, a phonics drill, or a curriculum. It is a masterclass for the parent — built on the research finding that when parents learn to notice and nurture a few small reading skills, they become up to six times more effective in developing their child's reading.
